First, find the label '2' on the horizontal axis. This axis shows the different classes.
Step 2 — Read the bar height
Now, look at the bar that is directly above Class 2. We need to see how tall this bar is. The height of the bar tells us the number of students.
Step 3 — Count absent students
Follow the top of the bar for Class 2 across to the vertical axis. The vertical axis shows the number of students. The bar for Class 2 reaches the mark for 5 on the vertical axis.
So, the number of students absent in Class 2 is 5.
