Question 1
What would you do to find the most popular game among Naresh’s and Navya’s classmates?

We need to count how many students play each game.
Step 1 — Collect the data
First, we look at the list of students and their games. This list shows us the collected data. We need to use this data to find the most popular game.
Step 2 — Organize the data using tally marks
We will make a table with two columns. One column will be for the game names. The other column will be for tally marks. We go through the list of students one by one. For each student, we find their game. Then, we make a tally mark next to that game in our table. We do this until all students are counted.

Step 3 — Count the total players for each game
After making all the tally marks, we count them up. This count tells us how many students play each game. For example, we would count 6 for Kabaddi. We would count 8 for Hockey. We would count 5 for Satoliya (Pittu). We would count 6 for Cricket. We would count 2 for Badminton. We would count 4 for Football.
Step 4 — Identify the most popular game
We look at the "Number of Players" for each game. The game with the largest number of players is the most popular. We compare all the counts. The game with the highest count is the most popular.
Answer
(i) By organizing the data collected, using tally marks.
